Our client, a rapidly expanding multinational with a strong base in Barcelona, seeks a highly skilled Financial Controller for a fully remote leadership role across Spain. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting or finance with controller or senior management experience.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements comply with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance internal controls and efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support decisions.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
