Expert Executive Recruiters (Eer Global) is seeking a Financial Controller for a rapidly expanding multinational with a Barcelona base. This fully remote leadership role lets you oversee all accounting operations across Spain while aligning finance with strategic objectives.

You will manage payroll, consolidation, reporting under Spanish GAAP and IFRS, drive process improvements, and mentor a distributed accounting team. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a controller or senior management focus.
• Proven experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in ERP software (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
• Experience in fully remote environments and managing distributed teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance; professional certification preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR, GL, and payroll.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies to improve internal controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Mentor and manage a distributed accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
