Job summary

Intuitive, a rapidly expanding multinational with a strong Barcelona presence, seeks a Financial Controller for a fully remote leadership role across Spain to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, and deliver strategic financial insights to senior management.

Requirements include 7+ years in accounting/finance with controller experience, Spanish GAAP/IFRS expertise, SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel skills, plus leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in accounting/finance with controller-level leadership.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in SAP, Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in fully remote distributed teams.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR/GL and payroll.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team.
• Coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
