Job summary

Our client, a rapidly growing multinational, seeks a Financial Controller to join senior leadership. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in Spain while overseeing accounting operations and strategic financial insights.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, external audits, and ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a controller or senior management focus.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency with SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in fully remote environments with distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual statements per Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting.
