Our client, a rapidly expanding multinational corporation with a strong operational base in Barcelona, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team. This is a fully remote leadership position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in Spain while overseeing critical financial functions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience with a controller/senior role.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong ERP and Excel proficiency; leadership experience.
• Remote management of distributed teams; process improvements.
• Bachelor's/Master's in relevant field; CPA/ACCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements meet Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies to strengthen controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Mentor the accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and provide strategic financial insights.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
