Job summary

Expert Executive Recruiters (Eer Global) is sourcing a highly skilled Financial Controller for a rapidly expanding multinational with a Barcelona base. This fully remote leadership position lets you work from anywhere in Spain while overseeing accounting operations and driving financial strategy.

You will manage budgeting, financial reporting under Spanish GAAP and IFRS, and internal controls, while mentoring a distributed accounting team and supporting external audits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting or finance with a controller or senior role.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual statements comply with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Lead the accounting team and mentor staff.
• Coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
