Job summary

Havas Media seeks a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead all accounting operations for a rapidly expanding multinational with a strong Barcelona base. This fully remote leadership role allows you to oversee financial functions from anywhere in Spain while ensuring compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and audits, drive process improvements, and provide strategic insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA/ACCA) is highly preferred.
• 7+ years in accounting/finance with controller/senior role.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, GL, and payroll.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team; foster collaboration and high performance.
• Coordinate and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations for business decisions.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
