Job summary

Expert Executive Recruiters (EER Global) is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller for a fully remote role based in Spain. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS, drive process improvements, and deliver strategic financial insights to senior management.

The position requires leadership of distributed teams and a strong control environment. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting/finance, proficiency in SAP/Oracle and Excel, and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with senior role in controller / accounting management.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong proficiency in SAP/Oracle and Excel.
• Leadership and communication skills essential.
• Experience in remote / distributed teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, annual statements per Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop accounting policies to improve controls and efficiency.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Mentor accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
