Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across EMEA. You will explain complex technical issues to healthcare professionals and field engineers, with a strong focus on remote support and occasional on-site training across international sites.

The role requires a biomedical/engineering background, 4+ years experience, and fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering, with 4+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized, flexible, multi-tasking, prioritization.
• Experience analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve issues; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional on-site training (domestic and international).
• Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 Rotating.
