Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1 platform across EMEA. You will communicate with healthcare professionals, start-up specialists and field service engineers to resolve issues and deliver remote care.

The role requires a medical/engineering background, multilingual skills (Portuguese, English, Italian) and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/ electrical/ mechanical engineering with 4+ years' experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years; medical degree with tech skills also considered.
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
Drive the escalation process to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
Perform technical activities requiring judgement and own continuous improvement projects.
Ensure all documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
