A dynamic payments company in Madrid is looking for a Senior PHP Backend Developer to develop core payment backend applications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and 5 years of PHP development experience. You will work closely with an agile team and product managers to create and optimize services. Senior PHP Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop core business payment backend applications in collaboration with agile team partners.
• Work with product managers to design, develop, test and implement solutions using iterative and agile development methodology.
• Identify gaps in the backend core services layer for achieving desired functionality.
• Design and perform unit and integration testing.
• Co‑ordinate with peer developers and release team for code reviews to ensure code standards are followed and quality is achieved.
• Provide engineering support for customer issues and general problem solving.
• Maintain and improve the quality and the test suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• Bootcamp and / or Computer Science related study.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5 years of experience as a PHP backend developer.
• Strong knowledge of REST based backend technologies.
• In depth knowledge of development tools: git, Gitlab, Redmine, Docker, CI / CD.
• Knowledge in tech stack Java / Spring Boot is a huge plus.
• Language Skills (English) – English is mandatory (good technical level).
