A global telecommunications company located in Barcelona is seeking an experienced Electronics Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Technician to support daily operations in their electronics lab. The role involves equipment management, circuit assembly, and maintaining safe lab processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills in electronics, a keen attention to detail, and prior experience in a lab environment. Formación

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Technician to support the daily operations of our electronics lab. This role is responsible for equipment management, workstation setup, circuit assembly, and ensuring an organized, efficient, and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on technical skills in electronics, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain and optimize lab processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory of electronics laboratory equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, PCs, and related tools.
  • Perform basic assembly and disassembly of workstations as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of all equipment and work areas.
  • Oversee inventory of electronic components and laboratory wiring.
  • Solder electronic circuits using SMD components (down to 0402).
  • Diagnose and repair electronic circuits using schematics.
  • Fabricate custom wiring and cabling for testing purposes.
  • Support engineers and technicians with lab‑related tasks and equipment requests.
  • (Preferred) Utilize EDA tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar for basic circuit tasks.
Qualifications
Education
  • Vocational training in electronics or a technical engineering discipline.
  • English language proficiency is desirable.
Experience

A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an electronics laboratory or similar technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using EDA software (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electronics testing procedures and measurement equipment.
  • Prior experience managing lab inventory systems.
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.

Technology Stack
  • Oscilloscopes, power supplies, bench multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Soldering equipment for SMD components (0402 and above).
  • EDA tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle (preferred).
  • Standard computer applications (Microsoft Office or similar).
  • Inventory management systems/tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment and handle electronic equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or move between workstations for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment or component boxes (typically up to 25 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity required for fine soldering and circuit assembly work.
