Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Executive Director of Business Development (Strategic Accounts) to drive enterprise-level sales growth through global account strategy, strategic partnerships, and long-term client engagement.

You will identify high-impact opportunities across the biopharmaceutical landscape, negotiate MSAs, and coordinate cross-functional solution development with therapy strategy, operations, and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Proven experience in strategic sales and global business development.
• Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape and clinical development lifecycle.
• Experience leading preferred provider pursuits and negotiating MSAs.
• Ability to build relationships with mid- to executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong consultative selling, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global business development efforts across a portfolio of high-value accounts.
• Identify and pursue enterprise-level opportunities including MSAs and strategic alliances.
• Develop multi-year strategic growth plans for key global clients.
• Act as strategic advisor understanding client priorities and development pipelines.
• Navigate procurement environments and streamline contracting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create client-tailored solutions.
• Lead creation of high-impact proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations.
• Maintain CRM records including accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
