Job summary

NSC Global is seeking Level 1 Field Service Technicians to deliver on-site technical support for customer systems. You will perform on-site troubleshooting, hardware repair, and component replacement across desktops and laptops, ensuring accurate service updates and documentation.

Responsibilities include confirming warranty status, applying diagnostic tools, and providing clear communication to customers. A valid driving licence and English proficiency are required; CompTIA A+ is desirable.

Qualifications

Experience in Level 1 technical support or similar role.
Strong PC and laptop hardware knowledge.
Familiar with operating systems, BIOS, drivers, and basic networking.
Ability to follow diagnostic processes and document steps.
Clear communication to non-technical customers.
Independent work at customer sites with safety and escalation procedures.
Strong time management across appointments and travel.
Fluent in local language of territory and English for documentation.
Valid driving licence and access to personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

Attend customer sites within agreed service windows and complete each intervention to the required standard.
Perform on site troubleshooting, diagnostics, hardware repair and component replacement across desktops, laptops and related client hardware.
Validate warranty status, asset identification and diagnostic findings before completing any repair.
Apply approved diagnostic tools and methods, including built in diagnostics, LED fault codes and structured logical troubleshooting.
Confirm receipt of service calls, manage estimated arrival updates and maintain accurate records in the required systems.
Generate electronic service reports through the field service platform and obtain customer sign off following each intervention.
Reinstall BIOS, drivers and operating systems where instructed and where approved recovery media is available.
Troubleshoot hardware related networking faults within service scope.
Order additional parts through approved process after troubleshooting.
Collect, manage, package, label and return defective or unused parts within required timescales.
Keep customers informed throughout the intervention with next steps and parts needs.
Escalate unusual incidents including customer dissatisfaction or safety issues.
Comply with electrostatic discharge, safety and process training requirements.
Report deviations and contribute to continuous improvement.
