Job summary

NSC Global is seeking Level 1 Field Service Technicians to deliver on-site technical support at customer locations. You will troubleshoot desktops and laptops, validate warranty status, and provide timely updates while maintaining accurate records and sign-off for each intervention.

You will apply diagnostic tools, reinstall BIOS and drivers as needed, and escalate issues following established procedures. A valid driving licence and fluent English plus local language are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Level 1 technical support, field service or comparable customer-facing IT support.
• Sound understanding of PC, laptop and client hardware components.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, BIOS, drivers and basic networking.
• Ability to follow structured diagnostic processes and document troubleshooting steps.
• Confident communication to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites while following procedures.
• Strong time management across appointments, travel and SLAs.
• High attention to detail in ticket updates and service reporting.
• Fluency in the local language and English for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites within agreed service windows and complete interventions to the required standard.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, hardware repair and component replacement across desktops, laptops and related client hardware.
• Validate warranty status, asset identification and diagnostic findings before repairs.
• Apply approved diagnostic tools and methods, including built-in diagnostics and LED fault codes.
• Provide service updates within SLA, manage arrival times and close service calls with sign-off.
• Generate electronic service reports and obtain customer sign-off after each intervention.
• Reinstall BIOS, drivers and operating systems as instructed.
• Troubleshoot hardware-related networking faults within service scope.
• Order parts through approved processes after documented troubleshooting.
• Keep customers informed about next steps and required parts.
• Escalate unusual incidents promptly including customer dissatisfaction or safety issues.
• Comply with ESD, safety and security policies on site.
