Onsite IT Field Technician – Desk-Side Support

Job summary

NSC Global is seeking Level 1 Field Service Technicians to provide on-site technical support for customer systems in Denmark. You will troubleshoot, repair and replace hardware, validate faults, update service calls and communicate with customers, while adhering to service levels and procedures.

Role requires Teritary PC hardware knowledge, OS/BIOS understanding and ability to work independently at customer sites with a valid driving licence. Fluency in Danish and good English are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Level 1 technical support or field service.
• Solid understanding of PC, laptop and client hardware components.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, BIOS, drivers and basic networking.
• Ability to follow structured diagnostic processes and document troubleshooting steps.
• Confident communication to explain issues to non-technical customers.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites while following procedures.
• Strong time management across appointments and travel.
• High attention to detail in ticket updates and reporting.
• Fluent Danish and good English for technical docs and reports.
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle for travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites within agreed service windows and complete each intervention to standard.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, hardware repair and component replacement.
• Validate warranty status, asset ID and diagnostic findings before repair.
• Apply diagnostic tools and methods, including built-in diagnostics and structured troubleshooting.
• Provide service updates and close service calls with customer sign-off.
• Generate electronic service reports and maintain required records.
• Reinstall BIOS, drivers and OS where instructed.
• Troubleshoot hardware-related networking faults within service scope.
• Order parts and manage returns per process.
• Keep customers informed on next steps and visits.
