As a Staff Engineer at HelloFresh, you will lead the development and operation of our app, serving millions of users worldwide. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the loyalty experience for our customers. In this role, you will operate hands-on while overseeing cross-team collaborations to drive significant impact. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and driving key initiatives, identifying and resolving inefficiencies, and supporting the domain in various tasks, such as addressing technical debt, experimenting with new features, implementing architectural changes, and optimizing pipelines.

• Lead the technical direction of the HelloFresh Mobile app, including architecture, design, development, and support.
• Define and maintain the long-term vision and roadmap for your domain.
• Conduct technical assessments and guide teams towards streamlined, cohesive solution designs.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers across HelloFresh to tackle fundamental architectural challenges, design system improvements, and testing and release strategies.
• Contribute to the development of Engineering Best Practices as a member of our Mobile Chapter, and provide mentorship to colleagues seeking to advance their skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive long-term initiatives across multiple teams in a staff-level role
• Strong hands-on experience with Swift, and preferably with SwiftUI & Combine
• Thorough understanding of software development best practices, including Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, Clean Code, Agile Development, and Testing
• Experience with one or more architectural patterns such as MVVM-C, VIP, VIPER, etc.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and manage technical and non-technical stakeholders across different teams and departments
• Advocate of comprehensive test coverage across unit, integration, and UI tests, with experience in E-commerce-based apps being a plus
• Experience in analytics tracking, usage tracking, crash analytics, debugging, and AB-testing/experimentation
• Passion for mentoring and empowering team members to achieve their goals
