Full-time Remote Position

Painterland Sisters

We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and strategy-driven Social Media & Content Manager to lead Painterland Sisters’ organic digital presence. This role is responsible for shaping and executing our organic digital strategy across social media, website, blog, and email—while also supporting cohesive communication across the brand as a whole - ensuring our storytelling, mission, and brand voice come to life consistently and compellingly across all channels. This role is a natural storyteller—someone who can take complex ideas and translate them into a cohesive, story-led social strategy that resonates deeply with consumers.

The ideal candidate is a social-first thinker with deep expertise in content strategy, content creation, platform best practices, community engagement, and performance analytics. You thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, understand how to translate brand goals into meaningful, emotionally resonant content, and are obsessed with staying ahead of digital trends.

In this role, you will own the day-to-day management of our social media ecosystem, develop high-performing, narrative-driven content, oversee the strategy and production of all organic brand touchpoints, and partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact. You will also support the growth of our brand ambassador and community marketing programs, helping foster a loyal, engaged audience both online and offline.

Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
  • Lead and execute Painterland Sisters’ social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube, using platform-native storytelling to build emotional connection and brand affinity
  • Own end-to-end content creation—from ideation to publishing—ensuring every asset reflects PLS values, tone, and mission while supporting cross-functional priorities
  • Build and manage an integrated content calendar aligned with marketing initiatives, product launches, seasonal moments, and long-term brand storytelling arcs
  • Proactively identify opportunities for partnership, collaboration, reach expansion, and increased brand visibility across channels
  • Monitor social trends, competitor activity, and platform updates; deliver weekly insights and recommendations to guide strategy
  • Actively amplify and engage with user-generated content to strengthen community connection and credibility
  • Engage with retail partners, creators, and ambassadors on social to support sell-through, community building, and brand affinity
  • Partner with the sales team to support retailer programs, store launches, customer insights, and social-driven activation needs
Community Management
  • Oversee day-to-day community engagement across all platforms, including DMs, comments, and tagged content, ensuring timely, thoughtful, and on-brand responses
  • Develop and manage a structured system for organizing and categorizing social community members by target consumer groups, engagement goals, and their relationship to Painterland Sisters - leveraging CRM tools to create visibility and continuity across the business
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CX, Marketing, Sales, and Impact teams to ensure consumer insights and interactions flow seamlessly throughout the organization
  • Partner closely with the CX team to maintain a consistent brand voice and coordinated responses across platforms, fostering a warm, engaged, and loyal community
Content Creator & Influencer Programming
  • Serve as a content mastermind, managing and nurturing relationships with content creators, influencers, and digital partners while project-managing multiple creators and content sources to fuel distinct content streams that ladder up to a cohesive, synchronized content calendar
  • Own the influencer strategy end-to-end—from sourcing and outreach to negotiation, briefing, and content direction—using community insights and performance data to guide partnership decisions and creative execution
Website & Email Marketing Support
  • Support ongoing website updates, including content refreshes, visual enhancements, and maintaining accurate product information
  • Lead the email marketing strategy, managing the brand newsletter and segmented flows to drive engagement and retention
  • Monitor and report on email performance metrics, providing recommendations to improve open rates, click‑throughs, and overall effectiveness
  • Own the blog content strategy and partner closely with the Impact team to develop timely, educational, and mission-aligned content for the website
Data & Analytics
  • Track, analyze, and report weekly on key social metrics, performance drivers, and optimization opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze social and marketing performance data to identify trends and growth opportunities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all analytics integrations and reporting systems
  • Translate data into actionable insights that inform content, campaigns, and strategic decision‑making
Materials & Swag
  • Source and replenish marketing materials, samples, and swag for team and event needs
  • Support execution of gifting initiatives for ambassadors and partners
PR Support
  • Support the Senior Brand Manager in PR planning and execution, including coordinating sample requests, preparing media kits, and managing timely communication with partners
  • Assist with campaign execution across PR and influencer initiatives—helping organize assets, facilitate outreach, track deliverables, and ensure smooth cross‑team coordination
We're looking for someone who:
  • Is a natural storyteller with exceptional content creation skills—able to take brand, marketing, and educational concepts and translate them into compelling, platform‑native stories that educate consumers, build emotional connection, and drive meaningful engagement across channels
  • Has proven, hands‑on experience managing and growing brand social channels, producing high‑impact content, and steering a cohesive multi‑platform digital presence
  • Understands social strategy deeply - platform behavior, cultural trends, analytics tools—and can translate insights into clear actions, creative direction, and measurable results
  • Possesses strong design sensibilities and fluency in tools such as Canva and short‑form video editing platforms (e.g., CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush) to support agile, high‑quality content creation
  • Writes and communicates with clarity, confidence, and adaptability - always aligned with brand tone, mission, and values
  • Is highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and approaches challenges with a proactive, solutions‑oriented attitude
  • Collaborates effortlessly with a small, high‑performing team and contributes fresh, forward‑thinking ideas that push the brand forward
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Brings 5+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content‑focused roles.

Compensation Offered
  • Salary range: $90,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience

This is a full‑time remote position (40 hours per week). Painterland Sisters operates primarily on East Coast (EST) hours. This role would ideally work EST or CT working hours. Must be required to travel to attend select events, tradeshows and meetings (~5% travel). Please note that occasional weekend/holiday support may be required.
