The Theis Lab at the Computational Health Center is internationally recognized for pioneering methods in machine learning, single-cell analysis, and computational modeling of complex biological systems. Our lab is a vibrant interdisciplinary environment that combines fundamental methodological development with translational collaborations in biomedicine. To further strengthen project work, mentoring, and scientific coordination across our team, we are seeking an outstanding and motivated Staff Scientist (f/m/x).
This long-term role is ideal for a researcher who thrives at the interface of computation and biology, enjoys mentoring and wishes to shape scientific strategy within an internationally leading research group.
If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public‑Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 3 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
