Job Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Test engineer specializing in Warehouse Automation systems. Candidate should have a strong background in software testing within the Warehouse automation domain, with site testing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Plan Development: Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements and design documents.
• Functional/System testing: Conduct comprehensive tests on Warehouse Management systems & Warehouse Control Systems and automation solutions to ensure they meet design specifications and performance standards.
• Integration testing: Collaborate with software and controls teams to test the integration of various system components, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
• Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues or bugs during testing phases, working closely with development teams to implement fixes.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures, results, and any modifications made during the testing process.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using standardized tools and processes.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including software developers, project managers and clients to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Continuous improvement: Continuously assess and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Overall 5+ years of experience, with at least 2–3 years in automation testing using Java Selenium and TestNG framework.
• German language proficiency (B2 or above).
• Experience in backend, API testing and web services such as REST and SOAP.
• Experience in testing end‑to‑end workflows or intra‑logistics processes.
• Hands‑on experience in software and controls integration in automated systems.
• Good understanding of material handling equipment and devices used for intralogistics automation and how they are integrated with warehouse automation software modules.
• Sound knowledge of industry‑standard software Quality Assurance methodologies, Software Testing, tools and processes.
• Experience with test management tools like TestRail.
• Experience with bug/issue tracking tools like JIRA.
• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems.
• Experience working on Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to estimate requirements based on analysis and prepare high‑level scenarios and test plans.
• Collaboration with the development team on bug‑fix verification and validation (regression testing).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with onsite testing and commissioning.
