A leading global bank in Frankfurt is seeking a Production Operations specialist to ensure operational soundness across its Corporate Banking Services. This role involves supporting incident management, driving continuous improvement in production environments, and leveraging strong technical skills to improve system stability. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Computer Science and experience in global tech operations. The bank offers a comprehensive benefits package including flexible working arrangements.
You will be accountable for the Production Operations across the Corporate Banking Services portfolio of applications ensuring not only operational soundness of the portfolio but also driving significant service improvement to deliver increased stability and operating efficiency of the platforms responsible for processing Global Payments transactions for the Corporate Bank. You will be part of a Global team operating on follow-the-sun principles providing full oversight of the production environment, reporting directly into the Lead of Corporate Bank Production services.
Ability to support the incident management, problem management adhering to ITIL and DB standard process as a role model to enhance the technical capability of the Production Support team
Lead by example to drive a culture of proactive continual improvement into the Production environment through automation of manual work, monitoring improvements and platform hygiene
Leverage strong technical trouble-shooting skills to analyse forensics for the Production platform to identify and remediate performance and resiliency issues
Engage in the operational delivery of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance Production Standards and controls as well as maintaining all support documents.
Oversee event monitoring via a 24x7 workbench that is both monitoring and regularly probing the service environment and take action on instruction of a support document.
Drive knowledge management across the supported applications and identify areas of focus, where training may improve team performance, and improve incident resolution
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field (master’s degree a plus)
Experience with global tech service operations with 3+ years of experience in large corporate environments (financial or banking) in controlled production environments
Experience of run-book execution & complex data or transactional application and infrastructure domains
Recent experience of applying technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments
Strong working experience in OS (Linux), Database (e.g., Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL), monitoring (Splunk, NewRelic, & Geneos), Middleware (e.g., MQ, Apache and Kafka), automation solutions (Ansible, Jenkins/Groovy, Python), incident tracking (ServiceNow), JIRA/Agile, as well as DevOps and Google Cloud solutions (GCP)
Able to handle multiple demands and priorities simultaneously, work under pressure, in an organized manner and with teams across multiple locations and time-zones
Able to connect, manage and influence people from different backgrounds and cultures
A strong team player being part of a global team, communicating, managing, and cooperating closely on a global level while being able to take ownership and deliver independently
