Responsibilities

• Monitoring and planning the maintenance and repair of the nautical and technical systems, equipment, and safety systems within a defined section of our fleet.
• Close cooperation and communication with vessel crews.
• Budget planning and control.
• Handling insurance claims.
• Preparing and conducting dockings, repairs, and maintenance work.

Qualifications

• A completed technical apprenticeship or degree with relevant seagoing experience and experience as a Technical Watch Officer or Chief Engineer (CT/CI licence).
• Experience in the inspection department of a shipping company.
• Knowledge of ship technical maintenance and ship newbuilding is desirable.
• Confident use of MS Office applications.
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel.
• Independent and responsible working style.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and ability to work in a team.
