The Tax Group Manager will be the head of the Tax function in Germany, as part of the Finance organisation, requiring deep technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes as well as being flexible in managing other elements of taxation that are relevant for a large multi-national financial institution. The role will be responsible for leading and directing a team of professionals based both in and outside of Germany including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring and budget approval. The individual will be comfortable working with and advising senior colleagues within the Bank, and be experienced in communicating with and managing relationships with tax authorities, regulators and advisors. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate, often at a senior level, and the individual will need to be prepared to make decisions and for robust challenge in this regard.
For this central leadership role, it is a great advantage if you possess a successfully completed qualification as a Steuerberater (m/w/d) / Tax Advisor (m/f/d), as this expertise is of crucial importance for the strategic alignment and practical implementation of our tax matters.
