Qualifikationen

Job Description
  • Ensure Supplier Quality for the assigned commodity
  • Perform assessment and re‑assessment audits (Generic and Special processes) at suppliers in commodity panel and follow‑up the defined actions in link to these audits as per Wabtec rules
    • Manage PPAPs (Initial sample releases and FAIs) at suppliers in link to release of new parts
    • Process re‑qualification at main suppliers in the panel to ensure quality standard and continuous supplier development
    • Execute supplier development programs with suppliers and internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing)
    • Follow Top Offender meetings and QBR/QQR with main suppliers of assigned (sub-)commodity
  • Ensure resolution of Critical supplier issues (Hot Issues) within the commodity in cooperation with Product Line/ Site Quality, Engineering and Project Management
    • Ensure proper root cause analysis at suppliers and highlight needed internal improvements in link to significant supplier issues
    • Autonomous management of dedicated Supplier Commodity‑ Audit, QQR, Top Worst Supplier Planning. Ensure implementation and efficiency of corrective / preventive actions at suppliers for these significant supplier issues
    • Support effective COPQ recovery process from suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Lead Buyers and Product Line / Site organization (Quality, Purchasing, Project Management)
    • Regular review and reporting of status and progress of these Critical supplier issues to SQD Responsible
  • Physical Demands
    • Requires the ability to travel to remote worksites.
    • Travel to Supplier sites for Assessment, FAI and Business, Wabtec Sites – up to 30% of time.
    • Open to Remote or Hybrid work
Qualifications
  • 2+ year of experience as a Quality Engineer.
  • Hands on expertise in CNC cutting, bending, milling and break press, fabrication tasks, and/or test and validation.
  • Extensive hands‑on manufacturing experience with mechanical, fabrication, systems that include welding, and assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including welding schematics.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills are required to maintain all records, provide data to Product Line and Site Quality.
  • Proficiency with MS‑WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK is required.
  • Familiarity with design for railway products and systems and their environments.
  • Experience with welding (TIG, MIG, arc), cutting, grinding, drilling and assembling components to create prototypes, fixtures or final products. (preferably in Railway Standard EN 15085)
  • Knowledge of Assessment and experience with internal/external Audit performing (ISO 19011, ISO 9001).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
