Software & Applications Engineer (m/w/d)
  • You will work in a small, agile and multi-site software development team on the latest generation of highly distributed SCADA systems
  • You and your team are responsible for the end-to-end development of the required functions
  • You will develop in close collaboration with other disciplines such as hardware and firmware and support the team in designing the software components
  • Developing interfaces to other operational technology or cloud networks
  • Preparation of data and presentation in meaningful graphics
  • Implementing cross-location applications to increase the transparency of our processes
  • To meet our customer requirements for reliability and integrity, you will test and integrate your code on our development platform using our CI environment
  • You support error analysis and troubleshooting
  • Creating software modules that have a high degree of reusability
  • Ensuring the quality of work for sustainable product development

Your profile

  • Completed studies in computer science/electrical engineering/communications engineering/physics or similar
  • Experience in the use of WinCC OA (ideally Siemens certified engineer)
  • Advanced knowledge of embedded software development with C/C++
  • Knowledge of Python and configuration management systems (e.g. Git)
  • Experience in agile SW development with scrum desirable
  • Knowledge of sequential databases (e.g. PostgreSQL and InfluxDB)
  • Knowledge of PLC automation technology is not mandatory but welcome (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell - Modbus / Profibus)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
