Site Responsible Engineer / Engineering Manager (m/w/d)

This role is a member of the Site Management Team and is responsible for all engineering, energy supply services, and facility management at the site.

Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering and investment projects specific to the site
  • Ensure economical use of auxiliary and operating materials, spare parts, and energy
  • Manage compliance
  • Define, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate external service providers
  • Collaborate with authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor KPIs and budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct advanced risk analyses to ensure HSE guidelines are met during abnormal operations
  • Contribute to site-specific continuous improvement measures
Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop staff both disciplinarily and professionally
  • Develop personnel plans and ensure adherence to approved budgets
  • Make personnel decisions in collaboration with HR
  • Promote and coach employees; oversee and identify training needs
  • Ensure and conduct employee training according to legal and internal standards
Qualifications
  • Successfully completed technical degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable
  • Extensive experience in project management, engineering, or maintenance within the chemical industry
  • Several years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HSE, ISO 9001, 14001, 50001)
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Responsible, independent, and structured working style
  • Hands-on mentality and flexibility
  • Strong communication skills, motivational ability, and assertiveness
  • Engagement, results orientation, and the ability to make responsible decisions independently
