A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Strategy Project Manager, you will lead the weekly Benchmarking team check‑in, oversee project progress, and align on priorities and challenges. You conduct competitor portfolio analyses with your team members and present regular status updates to business area management and the responsible board member. You maintain close coordination with senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment. You also work with operational units, such as the Power Transformer factory in Nuremberg, to scope strategic support needs and develop structured implementation plans. On‑site insights inform your strategic recommendations. Key milestones conclude with feedback sessions with your manager to continuously refine the quality of deliverables.

  • Inspire management with compelling ideas on where to take the business area
  • Develop strategies to successfully manage the energy transition in the field of Grid Technologies, not only to secure long term growth of the business but also to secure required profitability
  • Identify most important challenges and greatest opportunities of the business area Grid Technologies and develop promising project ideas to transform potential into performance
  • Set up, structure and lead strategic projects (e.g., strategy definition, growth implementation, turnaround, competitor analysis, portfolio review, operational improvement projects) across complex settings towards clear decisions and impact
  • Monitor progress on crucial transformation initiatives and derive corrective actions. Structure, analyze and translate business challenges and complex data into actionable solutions
  • Steer and develop other strategy consultants
What You Bring
  • Completed university degree in industrial engineering, engineering, natural sciences, business administration (Master, Diploma, PhD), or a comparable field
  • Lonstanding professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience in management consultancy or strategy within a large or mid-sized corporation preferably in the energy sector
  • Proven track record in project management with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a complex, global organization. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks based on priority.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to strategic, quantitative, and organizational challenges, taking a holistic end‑to‑end perspective
  • Experience implementing concepts in fast‑paced, changing environments while demonstrating ownership of assignments and committment to deadlines
  • International work experience and strong communication skills in English (and ideally German) to engage stakeholders at all levels, including the board. Collaborative, can‑do attitude and openness to feedback.
