Senior Space Planner (m/f/d)

Location: Munich, Germany

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Space Planner to support our Order Management team in Munich. In this newly created key position you will not only be responsible for designs but also actively shape the future of our space planning strategy. You combine excellent spatial awareness with a passion for advancing how our fitness equipment is planned and experienced in studio environments. If that sounds exciting, apply now!

Responsibilities
  • Define different types of space plans and standardize design elements (CI/CD) and the software used.
  • Act as a central stakeholder for external partners (planning offices, software vendors, distributors) and empower internal teams to create their own plans.
  • Build an “evergreen repository” for drawings and models and conduct an audit of existing machine models.
  • Explore the use of AI solutions (e.g., CGI, 2D-to-3D converters) to take the efficiency of our planning processes to the next level.
  • Create high‑quality space plans yourself when needed and evaluate external requests (e.g., from distributors or public tenders).
  • Use space plans to support commercial initiatives and make informed prioritization decisions in coordination with relevant stakeholders; contribute to the success of sales pitches, bids, and global key account projects.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an interior designer with a strong profile in space planning.
  • Extensive experience with planning software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, ECDesign) and a solid technical understanding of machine drawings.
  • Ability to evaluate complex systems, standardize processes, and strategically develop a team.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing complex, high‑volume projects (international rollouts, pilot projects).
  • Experience working with international teams and markets, enabling confident management of different market requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and fluent in English; German is a strong plus.
First 6‑Month Training Goals
  • Audit: conduct and document a comprehensive assessment of existing systems, personnel, and external requirements.
  • Structuring: take inventory of all current and future machine models.
  • Standardization: develop and implement a uniform standard for our planning output.
Benefits & Perks
  • Modern, international company culture with flexibility, hybrid working (2 office days), and 30 vacation days per year.
  • Free training with EGYM Wellpass in thousands of sports and health facilities across Germany; access to in‑house gym with EGYM products.
  • Flex budget: €60 per month for public transportation and meal subsidy.
  • Wide range of discounts via the employee benefits portal.
  • Bike leasing program to stay active on the way to work or in spare time.
  • Employer‑subsidized pension plan.
