What will you help us create

The Amazon Fire TV team delivers the experience on Amazons market-leading streaming media devices including the Fire TV Stick Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Edition TVs.

Fire TV technologies are enjoyed by millions of customers the world this role you will drive key engineering and implementation decisions that impact Amazons long-term vision which includes rapid expansion into new geographies and innovation in the delivery and consumption of media and entertainment.

We are looking for passionate and talented software engineers who have experience building innovative mission critical high volume applications that customers love.

Key job responsibilities

• Development of software for product initiatives.
• Investigate prototype and deliver new and innovative software applications.
• Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic team-focused Agile / Scrum environment.
• Experience in professional non-internship software development
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including object-oriented design
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards software architectures code reviews source control management continuous deployments testing and operational excellence
• Fluency in English
• Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
• Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
