Overview

Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace connecting bus, rail, and ferry operators with online retailers in 70+ countries. We are building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers and have grown rapidly, backed by leading VCs and a recent $80 m Series C.

We are looking for Senior QA Engineers across different teams to shape our QA strategy and processes. You will be responsible for improving delivered features to production, reducing user complaints, and ensuring top-notch quality. A main goal is preventing bugs that could impact production, sales, or crucial functionality times.

Two potential teams we are hiring for are:

Integrations team

Core operations involve seamless interaction with external APIs, supported by a robust cluster housing thousands of microservices. Focus areas include the Ruby ecosystem, synchronous and asynchronous communication, fault tolerance, and monitoring system health and performance.

Platform team

The Platform team enables the functionality of a booking system, including booking orchestration, invoicing, and ticketing. The tech stack includes multiple services, with dedicated microservices in Grape and Ruby for smaller domains and services in Ruby on Rails for larger domains.

What you’ll do
  • Design and develop an automated testing framework from scratch

  • Integration testing, end-to-end testing, functional testing, regression testing

  • Microservices and API testing (Postman, SOAP, REST)

  • Create test case scenarios for manual and automation testing

  • Develop manual test case scenarios and execute them

  • Investigate autonomously and propose new methods to improve QA processes

  • Report and record all discovered errors/bugs

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tasks on time and with quality

Workplace

We are aiming to hire a professional based out of Germany or Europe. We are a remote-first company with colleagues around the globe.

Who you are
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in software test automation, including developing automation scripts using JS/TS, Python or Ruby

  • Experience with frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, JEST

  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, development, and testing processes

  • Experience in testing API integrations (Postman, SOAP UI, REST API, Swagger)

  • Understanding of data representation technologies: JSON, XML

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (advantage, GCP preferred)

  • Experience in operations process design, execution, and best practices

  • Good knowledge of test design and testing theory

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
