About Our Client

Our client is a global food & chemicals organisation seeking an experienced Build Project Manager to lead the execution of a major industrial project involving the construction of a new tank park. This role combines strong project management capability with technical oversight of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems, ensuring structured commissioning and successful start‑up.

You will manage all phases of the project, from engineering through commissioning, while coordinating site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Drive the execution of a large‑scale build project, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on E&I systems, automation, and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with design and operational standards.
• Commissioning Management: Plan and oversee structured commissioning activities, ensuring smooth integration of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Lead internal teams and manage contractors, suppliers, and client relationships across all project phases.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements throughout construction and commissioning.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and execution challenges proactively.

Ideal Profile

• Proven experience managing construction and commissioning projects in industrial environments.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Background in electrical and instrumentation automation highly desirable.
• Experience in sectors such as edible oils, food, chemicals, or oil & gas is a plus.
• Skilled in structured project execution, stakeholder engagement, and cost / schedule control.
• Familiarity with process control systems (e.g., Siemens PCS7, S7) advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German language proficiency preferred.
