Senior Procurement Specialist
The Senior Procurement Specialist will support and assist the Procurement Team with on‑going commercial and administrative activities supporting the business needs. Reporting to the EU Director of Procurement site operations and Global Procurement, the role manages procurement documentation and ensures operational readiness and compliance.

Job Responsibilities
- Procurement tasks for the assigned spend category including supporting lead buyers and responding to stakeholders’ requirements.
- Administration duties to ensure robust and compliant archival of all associated documentation.
- Liaise with vendors for quotations, price negotiations, purchase requisition and purchase order approvals, and issuance to vendors.
- Maintain audit readiness: ensure vendor qualification documents, supply agreements, and contracts are signed, filed and recorded on the tracker; keep the approved vendor list up‑to‑date; file and record supply maps and GMP documents for direct material suppliers.
- Expedite large and small‑scale equipment activities.
- Track materials received and notify end users and requisitioners.
- Prepare and circulate monthly reports on approved vendors, active K2 users, K2 and SAP order reports, and spend reports by category.
- Collaborate with procurement lead and master data management team for timely setup or deactivation of approved vendors in K2/SAP.
- Data entry in SAP Sourcedogg.
- Administer procurement platforms K2 and SAP and set up user access.
- Resolve day‑to‑day vendor issues.
- Maintain purchasing and item master database.
- Assist with qualification of new sources of supply.
- Assist in developing governing procedures and forms for the Procurement department.
- Negotiate with vendors, support the company budget and deliver on department savings targets.
- Perform duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs and controlled documents.
- Act as a role model for the administration function and the wider organization, adhering to WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture.
- Be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the EU Director of Procurement.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Third level education in secretarial business administration, procurement or equivalent.
Knowledge / Experience
- Previous administration experience essential.
- Procurement experience preferred.
- Experience working in a start‑up or project environment desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications; strong Excel skills beneficial.
- Experience in SAP or a similar procurement platform.
- Basic knowledge of the law around sale of goods and legal requirements to execute agreements and mitigate risk.
- Strong numeracy skills and accurate financial analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of materials management, supply and distribution chains.
- Self‑motivated, honest and accountable.
- Problem‑solving, planning and analytical skills.
- Ability to collate and analyse large amounts of data methodically.
- Good documentation practices.
- Ability to build strong business relationships with colleagues and suppliers to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent oral communication, business writing, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excellent Excel and Word skills.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% of the time (primarily Europe).
