Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer Cell Design — Skeleton's Supercapacitor Data Centers team is looking for a driven engineer with the vision to match our ambition.

Responsibilities
  • Work together with cell (and SuperBattery) team engineers to design/improve/manage supercapacitor cells.
  • Create, manage and keep up to date the design documentation (models, drawings, documents, risk assessments).
  • Create deliverables according to the development process.
  • Co-operation with industrial engineers on the stable manufacturing of the design.
  • Reporting to and working together with mechanical engineering team on the design solutions.
  • Find design solutions which can be used to hit product target requirements.
  • Build prototypes and perform testing to validate design solutions.
  • Instruct and supervise the manufacturing of our products if needed.
  • Communicate with component suppliers and procurement team to find suitable solutions.
  • Co-operation with procurement team to ensure that design meets target cost.
Qualifications
  • Successfully completed Bachelors or Masters' degree studies in mechanical engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a design engineer.
  • Prior experience with battery cell design (preferably Cylindrical cells), or other relations with battery industry.
  • Experience with mass production, manufacturability.
  • Well experienced with SolidWorks.
  • Very good modelling skills.
  • Great at creating and reading technical drawings.
  • Understanding of cell design and relevant electrical parameters for cell design.
  • Capability of using hand- and power tools.
  • High proficiency in technical writing.
  • Understanding of quality tools (DFMEA, Significant characteristics, etc.).
  • Fluent English; German would be a huge advantage.
  • Interpersonal skills of independency, resourcefulness, time management, internal drive.
  • Open and keen communicator, able to explain your thought process and bring forward new ideas while accepting constructive criticism.
