Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel with previous exposure to German and European banking and financial supervisory law including the Zahlungsdiensteaufsichtsgesetz (ZAG), Kreditwesengesetz (KWG) and banking regulation included in the German Civil Code (BGB). Knowledge of capital markets law and the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) would be a plus. We would be thrilled in case you are a Fachanwalt für Bank‑und Kapitalmarktrecht or if you have taken relevant courses.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the overall legal risk management of the company particularly in product‑related matters (excluding tax law). This includes:

  • Legal business and product support especially in the areas of banking law, banking supervisory law, payments law, credit law, consumer protection law and civil law
  • Creation and maintenance of standard contracts and term sheets
  • Internal legal advice on operational matters and preparation of legal opinions
  • Review, negotiation and drafting of contracts
  • Instruction coordination and monitoring of external lawyers
  • Handling litigation and court proceedings
