Scope

The Tech & IT Services team at Houlihan Lokey are looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst or Associate in Frankfurt.

Financial Analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various services, including M&A, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Prepare, analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information
  • Create financial models
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
  • Value companies and businesses
  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing engagements
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients, professional advisors and other stakeholders
  • Supervise junior staff members in financial analyses
  • Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Fluency in German and English required (verbal and written)
  • Strong Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of full-time experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) preferred, or otherwise Transactions Services consulting or corporate development
  • Experience in executing sell‑side transactions
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organised manner
