THE ROLE OVERVIEW

The candidate will be responsible for the commercial & financial management of our international operating asset portfolio. This role will work closely with our senior technical asset manager and commercial asset managers based in various European regions. Our current operational solar portfolio extends across Germany, Ireland, Italy and the UK.

TASKS
  • Lead the commercial and administrative management of a multi-country European solar PV portfolio, ensuring strong governance, compliance and performance across all SPVs.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of regional Commercial Asset Managers, harmonising processes and tools across countries and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution at the local level.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle and performance of key contracts, ensuring obligations and reporting requirements are met, risks are managed, and new commercial offers and service proposals are robust and aligned with company and investor expectations.
  • Own the preparation, consolidation and control of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, cash management and variance analysis, driving corrective actions to protect and enhance portfolio returns.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management and investors, providing robust financial and KPI analysis and acting as a key interface with Finance, investors, lenders, off-takers and key suppliers.
PROFILE
  • University degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial asset management of renewable energy assets.
  • Strong financial and project finance skills.
  • Excellent contract and risk management capabilities.
  • Proven international team leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate clearly and confidently with senior management and external counterparties.
  • Solid understanding of European power markets and renewable energy regulation;
  • Fluent business German & English, with additional European languages and regular travel availability considered an advantage.
