Join the Bertrandt Group as a SAS System Architect to design and develop secure, scalable solutions for Substation Automation Systems (SAS) that meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop standard SAS solutions, ensuring security and scalability.
• Create project‑specific architectures in close collaboration with bid management and sales teams.
• Prepare detailed technical descriptions and compile the Bill of Materials (BoM) for SAS solutions.
• Manage stakeholders and provide technical support to sales, bid management, and engineering teams.
• Conduct training sessions for internal departments such as sales, bid management, and project execution.
• Translate functional requirements into Epics, Features, and high‑level acceptance criteria for agile implementation.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, System Architect, Project Manager, or similar role in the substation business.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and codes.
• In‑depth understanding of substation system design, from secondary equipment to SCADA and HMI.
• Expertise in substation secondary equipment technologies (e.g., protection relays, power metering).
• Familiarity with leading market products and solutions (e.g., Siemens SIPROTEC, ABB, Schneider).
• Experience in project execution or project management of substation solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers at eye level.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and collaborative approach.
• Fluent in English; German is desirable.
