MULTIPLE OPEN POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER POSITIONS

CLUSTER OF EXCELLENCE INTCDC - INTEGRATIVE COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR ARCHITECTURE

The Cluster of Excellence IntCDC at the University of Stuttgart is a leading research centre in the field of architecture, engineering and construction. IntCDC’s interdisciplinary team of over 175 scientists from the University of Stuttgart, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and Bauhaus Earth researches the methodological foundations for the urgently needed, future-proof and climate-positive transformation of the way buildings are designed and constructed.

The Institute for Computational Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart is now building its team for IntCDC’s next round of research projects and invites applications for multiple open positions.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE : POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (E13 / 14 TVL)

Qualifications

We expect you to have :

  • A strong architectural, engineering or computer science doctoral degree
  • Significant experience and a strong track record of conducting research in one of the research areas outlined above
  • A high level of motivation, team spirit and interest in interdisciplinary work
  • A strong ability to work independently and take initiative in collaborative research
  • Excellent English language skills are required

  • Lead research projects and conduct postdoc-level research in the Cluster of Excellence in direct collaboration with our research partners in one of the research areas outlined above
  • Contribute to the development of the Cluster’s various building demonstrators
  • Optionally instruct doctoral researchers and master students in your research area as part of the international ITECH MSc programme
  • Take part in the exciting phase of new IntCDC research projects and join the unique research environment of the Cluster
  • Participate in the development of the IntCDC’s large-scale fabrication laboratory and cyber-physical construction site
