About the Organization

Right to Care (RTC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that all HIV-positive patients receive high-quality treatment, care, and support, thereby improving their quality of life and productivity across South Africa and other African countries.

The EQUIP Consortium is led by Right to Care (RTC) in collaboration with four other Africa-based partners. The consortium offers innovative and tailored solutions to increase HIV testing and linkage to care, expand ART coverage, enhance capacity for viral load monitoring, and improve retention of patients on ART. Supported by USAID, EQUIP aims to provide rapid responses to the needs of high-priority PEPFAR countries.

Job Description

Management of ART Department

  1. Screen and implement Test and Start protocols.
  2. Perform phlebotomy for laboratory baseline tests.
  3. Ensure all individuals passing through health facility departments are tested; those who test positive are enrolled in care.
  4. Collaborate with health facility staff, community health workers, and community leaders.
  5. Review and perform quality control on health files, taking appropriate actions.
  6. Understand monitoring and evaluation processes and conduct data reviews.
  7. Initiate treatment for all HIV-positive patients in the pre-ART registers, including those tracked from before Test and Start implementation.
  8. Identify undiagnosed People Living with HIV (PLWHIV) using strategic testing approaches within and outside facilities to maximize yield and ensure immediate linkage to ART.
  9. Coordinate with pharmacy and laboratory departments to strengthen supply chain management and logistics of HIV testing kits and pharmaceuticals.
  10. Enhance the capacity of Zambia's health systems for HIV service delivery.
  11. Conduct regular data reviews, edits, and updates as necessary.
  12. Perform data quality control measures.
