Receptionist - (on board luxury river cruise ship)
- Min. 2‑years’ experience as Receptionist in a 4* or 5* operations (hotel or cruise ships)
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English, French knowledge an advantage
- Stress tolerant
- Familiar with a multicultural working environment
- Self‑organized, disciplined, and reliable
- Good problem‑solving skills
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and courteous service in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Guest Check‑in and Check‑out
- Handle guest complaints, special requests professionally and inform supervisor
- Distribute information within the team as well as to other departments
- Ensure a complete display of all items in the onboard shop as per company standards
- Verify all people on board (guests and crew) at departures
- Ensure unauthorized persons are not coming on board
- Replacing Front Office Manager during the absence
- Assist Front Office Manager with preparations of the upcoming cruise and closing of the current cruise
- Book guest checks, perform daily closings, enter guest, and crew information at embarkation
- Count cash at every shift change
- Ensure correct handling of all equipment, devices, and machinery
- Participate in all safety drills
- Update the AGE control panel and codes when needed
- Maintain and update the red safety book as per instructions
- Participate in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings
Side Tasks
- Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor, e.g. luggage service, loading, and garbage off‑loading
- Assist with monthly inventories as per supervisor's instructions
- Assist other departments as per supervisor's instructions
