You’ll be based at our office in Frankfurt and will sit with the multidisciplinary Mileway Germany team headed by our Country Director Germany. The position is full-time and you will be part of the broader Legal team which consists of the Legal team based in Amsterdam and the Legal and Compliance team based in Luxembourg. As an integral part of the Mileway Germany team, you will report to the Country Director Germany.

We’ll equip you with a state-of-the-art technology package that helps you keep in touch, wherever you are. That doesn't mean we need you 24/7. We expect you'll work hard and also that you'll need some downtime. Respect for your personal life is key to keeping our team happy and our batteries charged.

Working at Mileway:

We offer an opportunity you simply won't find anywhere else. Launched in 2019, Mileway has rapidly grown into Europe's leader in last-mile logistics real estate, with a team of over 550 across more than twenty offices in 11 countries. From the start, Mileway set out to be a different kind of real estate company, with a cloud-based IT infrastructure and a team that combines local expertise with the pooled strengths of a pan-European presence.

Our culture is fast-paced and highly international, with team members from more than 50 countries, bringing diverse perspectives and a "can-do" attitude to everything we do. While we have already achieved a lot, we're only just getting started - our purpose is to be Europe's leading provider of last mile logistics real estate, enabling businesses to thrive, driving sustainability forward, and shaping the cities of tomorrow. To get there, we live by our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.

At Mileway, we believe company growth comes from supporting the growth of our combined capabilities. That's why we offer an in‑house learning & development program where personal, professional, and business development go hand in hand, helping you carve out your own unique career path. You'll be based at our Frankfurt office. While we embrace a flexible approach to work, our policy requires working from the office three days a week. To support this, we provide a state-of-the‑art technology package to keep you connected at all times.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and manage pre-litigation and litigation proceedings involving commercial real estate assets across Germany
  • Develop litigation strategies, assess claims and defenses, and prepare comprehensive risk evaluations for internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate and supervise external litigation counsel in all stages of disputes, including drafting instructions, reviewing submissions, and monitoring procedural progress
  • Oversee evidence collection, document management, and preparation of court‑ready materials, including affidavits, expert reports, and contractual analyses
  • Manage enforcement and debt recovery actions, including coordination with enforcement authorities, bailiffs, and notaries
  • Conduct legal due diligence on acquisitions and disposals with a focus on litigation exposure, legacy disputes, and contingent liabilities
  • Liaise with public authorities, courts, and counterparties on all matters related to contentious proceedings
  • Maintain litigation trackers, reporting structures, and internal governance documentation to ensure transparency and compliance
What you’ll bring
  • Minimum of 5 years as a fully qualified lawyer in Germany with a proven practice focus on litigation and dispute resolution in commercial real estate
  • Extensive experience handling disputes relating to lease enforcement, property defects, service charge claims, title or boundary disputes, and contractual breaches in a real estate context
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex cases before German courts, including strategy development, procedural management, and stakeholder communication
  • Strong ability to analyse litigation risk, provide strategic guidance, and shape dispute‑avoidance measures for the business
  • Solid understanding of debt recovery, enforcement proceedings, insolvency‑related interfaces, and the practical aspects of executing judgments
  • Excellent communication skills in German (native‑level fluency preferred) and strong English proficiency
  • Proven capability to build and manage effective working relationships with external counsel, internal teams, courts, and public authorities
  • Ability to train and support internal teams on dispute‑related processes, litigation strategy, and real estate‑specific legal risks

Our vision is to be the number one gateway to urban communities. To get there, we live our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.
