Overview

Your mission

You will take ownership of design excellence at deskbird leading and developing a high-performing Product Design team to deliver industry-defining user experiences. Your mission is to build on our reputation for outstanding UX and push us even further making our workplace management solution the most intuitive user-centered experience on the market.

As our Product Design Lead your impact will be felt across every team and touchpoint. Youll shape how we think about design and drive a culture of excellence speed and user empathy. This role demands vision a scalability mindset and the drive to deliver simple scalable interfaces that people love.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in Europe.

In this role you will

  • Lead and develop a team of 4-5 high-performing Product Designers providing the support they need to grow and perform at their best.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering leaders to align on priorities advocate for customer impact and influence product strategy.
  • Develop and operationalise scalable design practices processes and tooling that enable consistency quality rapid iteration experimentation and learning.
  • Oversee the end-to-end design process from concept to implementation ensuring seamless and delightful user experience.
  • Apply your B2B expertise to craft solutions tailored to the needs of diverse enterprise-level user personas.
  • Participate in - and when needed lead - discovery activities with customers to uncover real user pain points and challenges.
  • Evolve deskbirds design system to scale with the product ensuring consistency and broad adoption while supporting creative flexibility.
  • Step in hands-on to support squads when needed delivering high-quality impactful design work.

What you need to be successful

  • 8 years of Product Design experience with at least 3 years leading and scaling high-performing design teams in mid-market or enterprise B2B SaaS environments.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of mentoring designers fostering growth and building an empowering feedback-driven team culture.
  • Track record of successfully aligning stakeholders and leadership from various departments like Sales CS and Marketing.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence with deep expertise in building evolving and scaling design systems.
  • Comfortable switching between strategic leadership and hands-on design work when needed and setting the bar for quality.
  • Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your decisions and lead alignment around how to proceed.
  • Strong sense of urgency and drive to optimise learning velocity.
  • Fluency in English (German or French is a plus).
