A leading technology company in Berlin is seeking an experienced software engineer to design large-scale storage systems for cloud databases. You'll lead architectural innovations and mentor other engineers while ensuring high performance and integration with related services. The role requires over 10 years of software development experience and a strong background in creating architectural vision. Aurora Storage is a highly available, self-healing, and six-way replicated storage service purpose-built for cloud databases. Aurora’s separation of compute and storage enables offloading critical functions such as transaction redo logging, crash recovery, and backup/restore. Aurora Storage also enables customer-facing features facilitating data recovery, logical replication, and improved performance. Examples include Aurora Global Database, Backtrack (rewinding a database cluster to a specific point in time), Continuous Backups, and Fast Clones. Utility Computing (UC) AWS UC provides product innovations—from foundational services such as S3 and EC2—to consistently released new innovations that continue to set AWS’s services apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
