A tech-driven company in Germany seeks a Senior Software Engineer to enhance their access control systems. You will stand up new services, examine existing processes, and design MVPs. Ideal candidates have 7-13 years of experience in software engineering, a strong technical foundation, and a commitment to high-quality software development.
What we're looking for?
The Enterprise Integrations Platform team is responsible for envisioning, architecting, and driving Envoy’s long-term vision for success in integrating with large-scale vendors. This team is responsible for the backend platform and services that enable the creation of the future of buildable integrations. The team’s focus areas include making architectural decisions to ensure the integration platform is secure and reliable, solving scaling issues and optimizing performance, and improving the internal developer experience through an ever-evolving platform SDK.
You will:
Stand up new services that improve the safety, reliability, and accuracy of our access control systems
Examine, improve, and challenge the existing modalities of how we manage ACS today
Collaborate with team members to bounce ideas off each other and see delivery of value to customers from start to finish
Design MVPs with strong technical foundations, and iterate on them with product feedback
You have:
7-13 years of software engineering experience or coding experience
BS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
Created and supported APIs (REST, JSON/HTTP, GraphQL)
Typescript or Kotlin development experience in writing, maintaining, and debugging code in a production environment.
Domain knowledge such as message queues, sharding, auto scaling, and access patterns
Strong technical foundations for patterns and anti-patterns in software engineering
An inner product champion who takes pride in knowing and planning what great can look like, not just good
You are:
A self-starter and choose action. You look for problems and inefficiencies in code and find elegant solutions to them before they become major blockers.
An advocate for the end-user. You think about how our customers will interact with the service and champion positive changes.
A systems thinker. You think about how your designs will affect other aspects of the service and how it will evolve in the future.
A curious lifelong learner. Someone who enjoys technology and learning new things, like staying up to date on new tools and techniques. You are inspired by what's possible and eager to incorporate the best technologies into your work.
Mindful of performance. You think people deserve access to their data in milliseconds.
Security-minded. We exist because of our customers. When security is breached, trust is lost.
A champion for high-quality software. You realize the value of automated testing and write code with excellent test coverage.
A team player. You believe in collaboration, value different perspectives to make better decisions, and positively contribute to team dynamics.
