We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Live Operations (LiveOps) Manager to join our team working on a successful Free-to Play (F2P) mobile strategy game. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing all in-game events, promotions, and content updates designed to drive engagement, retention, and monetization for our global player base. You will be the champion of the live game experience, ensuring a continuous stream of exciting, profitable, and high-quality content.
Develop and own the rolling LiveOps calendar, including daily, weekly, and monthly events, sales, and content releases, aligning with long-term business goals and product strategy.
Design, plan, and execute a comprehensive monetization roadmap (quarterly, monthly, weekly) that aligns with the game's long-term vision and business objectives.
Collaborate closely with Product, Game Design, Marketing, and Community teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful live service roadmap.
Forecast the performance of live events and promotions, setting clear, measurable goals for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Daily Active User (DAU), retention rates, conversion, and Average Revenue Per Daily Active User (ARPDAU).
Oversee the end-to-end execution of all LiveOps initiatives, including content preparation, configuration, QA, and deployment, using internal tools and external platforms.
Monitor the live service and event performance in real-time, rapidly identifying and reacting to issues, anomalies, or opportunities to optimize outcomes.
Coordinate asset delivery and messaging with creative and marketing teams to ensure timely and compelling communication of LiveOps to players.
Conduct deep analysis on the performance of all executed events and sales, generating actionable insights and post-mortem reports.
Utilize A/B testing methodology to optimize event mechanics and content presentation.
Proactively identify opportunities for new features, content, or improvements based on data analysis, player feedback, and competitive intelligence.
Act as the primary point of contact for all LiveOps execution questions and dependencies across the organization.
Maintain strong communication with the Customer Support team to address high-priority player issues related to live events quickly and effectively.
3+ years of experience in LiveOps, Product Management, or Growth Marketing within the F2P (mobile) gaming industry.
Proven track record managing complex, high-velocity LiveOps calendars for an F2P title, preferably a strategy or mid-core game.
Proficiency in game data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Amplitude, etc.) and a strong ability to translate raw data into strategic recommendations.
Deep understanding of F2P monetization models, virtual economies, and player segmentation principles.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data and strategies clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A strong passion for games and a deep intuition for what makes a strategy game engaging and profitable.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make high-impact decisions under pressure.
Experience working on a globally launched game with multiple languages/regions.
Direct experience with CRM or in-game messaging platforms.
Prior experience as a game designer or product manager focused specifically on features like events, battle passes, or monetization systems.
