A leading cosmetics company in Frankfurt seeks a laboratory technician to evaluate organic and inorganic UV filters, active ingredients, and repellents. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in cosmetics, proficiency in SPF measurements, and fluency in English and German. Responsibilities include conducting lab tests, preparing reports, and collaborating on product development in a dynamic environment.
Your role: Your role will focus on evaluating organic and inorganic UV filters, active ingredients plus insect repellents. You will develop science based unique selling propositions (USPs) for these systems intended for cosmetic applications/biocidal products.
Your daily tasks will include assessing various properties such as visual effects, handling, texture, homogeneity, stability, and SPF ratings. You will be involved in elaboration of new scientific data to establish new positioning for the products and its use in final applications.
A solid understanding of basic analytical techniques is essential, including color measurement tools, rancimat tests, SPF testing (in vitro), rheology, and microscopy. It is important to follow objective scientific procedures. Strong English communication and presentation skills will help you prepare reports and summarize findings effectively.
Your contribution will be valuable in evaluating our portfolio of UV filters, active ingredients and repellents. In this role, you will help to ensure that laboratory operations run smoothly and safely by processing documents and data.
This position is located in the Rhine-Main area and requires collaboration with an international network.
