Pendix GmbH, headquartered in Zwickau, Germany and part of the Johnson Electric Group, is an innovation leader in the e-bike industry. We design, manufacture, and market cutting-edge e-bike drive systems and complete electric cargo bikes, combining engineering excellence with outstanding product reliability. We are now looking for a driven Key Account Manager to take ownership of our strategic OEM customers – and open new doors in the fast-growing e-bike segment.
As Key Account Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of major OEM accounts while actively hunting for new opportunities. You will be the bridge between our customers and our Business Units, ensuring their needs translate into winning, technically sound, and profitable solutions. You will develop strong relationships at all decision-making levels, influence product maps, and contribute directly to our long-term growth plans.
Responsibilities:
Manage assigned OEM key accounts in the e-bike segment, driving revenue growth and profitability
Develop new business opportunities with prospective OEM customers in alignment with Sales Leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer decision makers, from engineering to executive level
Represent customer needs internally and align them with Johnson Electric’s strategy and product roadmap
Support price negotiations, contract discussions, and profitability targets
Collaborate with Business Units to ensure competitive, sustainable, and technically feasible solutions
Monitor competitors and market trends to define priorities and secure new business
Ensure delivery and quality targets are met in cooperation with customer service
Travel extensively (50–60%) to maintain close contact with customers and partners
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field)
Proven track record in OEM sales within the bicycle industry (selling motors, batteries, gearshifters, brakes, or other technical products)
Fluent in German and English
Located close to Dresden or Zwickau (approx. 1-hour drive) or willing to relocate
Strong hunter mentality, excellent communicator, comfortable influencing at senior level
Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible, with the maturity to work independently in a cross-cultural environment
