Responsibilities

• Analyzing and extending existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on an IBM mainframe architecture with the systems DB2, IMS / CICS etc.
• Software development with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software
• Collaboration with international colleagues on challenging IT projects in a secure and appreciative work environment

Qualifications

• Completed studies in practical / applied computer science or training as an IT specialist
• Experience in the mainframe environment with COBOL and in the conception of software as well as tuning options with practice in database modeling
• Practical experience with complex SQL queries as well as database performance analyses and their optimization
• Practical experience in IT project management, e.g. process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication
• Good English language skills, knowledge of German and / or French is an advantage
