About The Role

As Forto’s strategic and people-oriented Head of Engineering for Co-Pilot and PAW, you will drive the evolution of three service fulfillment product teams, focusing on the following core tasks:

  • Leading the architectural strategy and decision‑making for key service fulfillment teams, with a specific focus on critical AI projects.
  • Engaging with technical leaders and stakeholders to ensure technical strategies aligning with broader business goals and are cohesive across the entire tech organization.
  • Building, mentoring, and inspiring a high‑performing engineering team capable of tackling complex logistics challenges.
  • Fostering a collaborative, innovative culture that promoting continuous learning and improvement.
  • Guiding and supporting skilled engineering teams, fostering unity, and empowering individual members to deliver significant results.
  • Driving the continuous improvement of our products, focusing on tracking key metrics to enhancing performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the architectural decision‑making and strategy for some of our key service fulfillment teams, including our critical AI projects.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of our products, tracking metrics, and ensuring that we continue to enhance our performance, maintainability and scalability.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing engineering team to tackle complex logistics challenges. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging continuous learning and improvement across the team.
  • Guide and support skilled engineering teams to foster unity and empower each member to deliver significant results.
  • Engage with tech leaders and stakeholders to ensure our technical strategies support broader business objectives and are cohesive across the tech organization.
Required Skills And Experience
  • 8+ years in increasingly Senior responsibilities within Software Engineering; 4+ years in Engineering Management.
  • Deep expertise in cloud‑native system architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices.
  • Fluent English language skills with communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of creating technology roadmaps that align with business KPIs, balancing delivery speed, risk, and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Product leadership and drive cross‑functional change to deliver best‑in‑class solutions.
  • A history of attracting senior talent, mentoring engineering leaders, and managing performance to uplevel existing teams.
  • Experience building psychological safety and “blameless” cultures within agile, distributed, and multi‑national organizations.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience as a “Head of”.
