Zusammenfassung

A regulatory consulting firm in Munich is seeking a Head of Business Development to spearhead their business strategy and client acquisition efforts. Summary

We're partnered with a well-established regulatory consulting and services firm as they are seeking a Head of Business Development to develop and execute the company's business development strategy. They support global drug and device development programs, employing around 60 scientific and regulatory experts delivering high-value, complex regulatory services to pharmaceutical companies and research institutions worldwide. This role offers close exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape future growth.

Job Duties

  • Lead and execute the global business development strategy, focused on client acquisition
  • Identify, acquire, and grow relationships with pharmaceutical companies and research institutions across the EU, US, and Asia.
  • Develop new business opportunities for high-scientific regulatory services in close collaboration with internal experts.
  • Represent the company at international conferences, industry events, and client meetings worldwide.
  • Build and manage a small business development team, with responsibility to expand and hire permanent team members in the future.

Company Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in business development for consulting services towards pharma or biotech, with strong understanding of regulatory processes.
  • Scientific background with an advanced degree such as a PhD or MSc natural sciences; experience selling regulatory or scientific services is essential
  • Proven track record in global client acquisition and business development within pharma, biotech, or research environments; consultancy background is a strong advantage
  • Ideally you have built business development strategies from the ground up
  • Fluent English required, German is a plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Munich (hybrid working supported); international travel required.
